High-impact, high-feasibility, low-risk ideas such as claims email routing and invoice data extraction are the place to start. A public-facing chatbot is high impact but high risk and less feasible. Start with the business problem

Transformation starts with what's slowing your organization down

Not with a technology looking for a use. These are the problems we're usually asked to solve.

  • Repetitive manual work: re-keying, routing, copying between systems
  • Disconnected systems that don't share data
  • Outdated applications that are hard to change or support
  • Slow, paper- or email-driven processes
  • Poor visibility of data, with reports assembled by hand
  • Operating costs that rise as you grow
  • Systems and processes that can't scale with the organization
  • AI ideas everywhere, but nothing in production
Our approach

From idea to measurable value, in four controlled steps

Step 1

Assess

Understand where you really stand.

Before recommending anything, we look at the whole picture, so the opportunities we find are ones your organization can actually deliver.

  • Technology maturity
  • AI readiness
  • Process maturity
  • Data readiness
  • Security & privacy implications
  • Business case
Step 2

Prioritize

Choose the few things worth doing first.

Every opportunity is scored the same way, so the decision is transparent and leadership can see why.

Business impact×Feasibility×Risk

An honest note: not every process should be automated, and not every organization needs generative AI. Sometimes the highest-value step is fixing a process, cleaning up data or getting more from a system you already own.

Step 3

Pilot

Prove value safely, before scaling.

We prefer controlled, time-boxed pilots with a clear decision at the end: scale, adjust or stop.

  • Defined scope and owner
  • Baseline measured before you start
  • Agreed success measures
  • Security, privacy and human-oversight guardrails
  • Built on platforms you already own where possible
  • Go / adjust / stop decision with leadership
Step 4

Scale

Make it last across the organization.

What works in a pilot only creates value at scale with the right foundations around it.

  • Governance
  • Security
  • Adoption & training
  • Measurement
  • Operating model & ownership
Technology modernization

The foundations that make transformation possible

AI is only as good as the systems, data and processes underneath it.

Cloud

A planned, secure move to the cloud, in waves, with data-residency and cost management designed in.

Application modernization

Old, fragile systems made supportable, or replaced, based on value and risk.

Integration

Systems that share data reliably, instead of people re-keying it.

Automation

Repetitive work automated, often with Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Azure capabilities you already own.

Data

Owned, trusted data and reporting, the starting point for analytics and AI.

AI

Practical, governed AI where it creates measurable value: classification, extraction, summarization, assistance.

Responsible AI

AI that leadership, regulators and clients can trust

We identify where AI can create measurable value while managing security, privacy, operational and regulatory risk. Every AI initiative comes with:

PrivacyPersonal information handled in line with PIPEDA, Quebec Law 25 and sector rules
CybersecurityAccess, configuration and data-leakage controls on every AI tool
Data governanceClear ownership of the data AI uses, and of what it produces
Human oversightPeople review the decisions that matter. AI assists; it doesn't decide alone
Acceptable useA plain-language policy on which tools staff may use, and how
Vendor riskAI providers checked for security, data use and data residency
Proof

Practical results, on platforms clients already owned

Regional insurer

Claims intake that no longer depends on manual sorting

Problem
Staff spent over 1,000 hours a month manually routing claims that arrived by email.
ABISOL action
Designed and delivered an AI classification and routing flow on the insurer's existing Microsoft 365 licensing.
Result
40% reduction in manual claims routing, with no new platform purchase.
Professional-services SME

Avoiding an unnecessary software purchase

Problem
Leadership was about to buy a costly document-processing product.
ABISOL action
Evaluated the requirement and delivered the same workflow using the organization's existing Azure agreement.
Result
The requirement was met with no new software licensing.

Digital & AI transformation FAQs

We're not sure we're ready for AI. Where do we start?

With the business problem, not the technology. A short readiness assessment looks at your processes, data, systems, people and governance, and tells you whether AI, simpler automation or fixing the basics will create the most value. Our free AI Readiness Assessment is a good first step.

Should we just buy Microsoft Copilot or an enterprise AI assistant?

Possibly, but not before you know what it will be used for, whether your data and permissions are ready, and how you'll measure value. Rolling out an AI assistant on top of over-shared files and unclear policies tends to create risk faster than it creates value.

Is our data safe if staff use AI tools?

It depends on the tool, its settings and your policies. We help you choose approved tools, configure them, set an acceptable-use policy and make sure sensitive data is handled in line with your privacy obligations, including PIPEDA and Quebec Law 25 where they apply.

Do we need to replace our systems to modernize?

Usually not all at once. We start by getting more from what you already own, then decide system by system whether to keep, improve, replace or retire, based on business value and risk.

How do you measure whether it worked?

Every pilot starts with a baseline and agreed success measures, such as hours saved, turnaround time, error rate, cost or service levels. Scaling decisions are made on those results, not on enthusiasm.

Will you push a particular AI vendor or platform?

No. ABISOL doesn't resell software or services, so recommendations are based only on fit, cost and risk for your organization.
